I charge $1,500 a month for a single-location local business, $3,500 a month for e-commerce or a multi-location company, and from $7,500 a month for large sites. A one-time technical audit is $1,500. Those are my published prices. Other Miami providers charge less and more, and the number matters less than what it buys.
What I charge, and for whom
These are the prices on my own service pages. I publish them so nobody has to book a call to find out.
| Plan | Price | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|
| Starter SEO | $1,500 a month | Small local businesses, service providers, a single location |

| Enterprise SEO | From $7,500 a month | Large businesses, franchises, national brands |
| Technical audit | $1,500, one time | A site that needs a diagnosis before any plan |
| Technical SEO project | $3,000 to $8,000, one time | Fixing what the audit found, over 6 to 12 weeks |
How much does it cost to hire someone to do SEO?
It depends on how the person is paid. There are three common ways: a monthly retainer, a one-time project with a fixed scope, or by the hour. A retainer suits ongoing work. A project suits a rebuild, a migration or a cleanup. Hourly suits a second opinion.
Whatever the model, the price follows the amount of work. Five things move it:
- The size of the site. Forty pages are not four hundred.
- How contested the searches are. A personal injury lawyer in Brickell is in a harder fight than a pool fence installer in Kendall.
- How much needs writing. A site with no page per service needs those pages written before anything can rank.
- The state of the site. Slow pages, broken redirects and pages Google refuses to index all have to be fixed first.
- How many places you serve. Each city or neighborhood you want to rank in is its own set of searches.
I am not going to quote you a Miami average. I do not have one I could show you the source for, and a number I cannot source is not information.
What a monthly fee should buy
Ask any provider what will be different on your site at the end of the month. A real answer sounds like this:
- Technical fixes that were shipped, listed one by one
- Pages written or rewritten, with their addresses
- Work on your Google Business Profile: categories, services, photos, posts, replies to reviews
- Tracking, so a lead can be traced back to the search that produced it
- A report that says what was done and what moved, including what went down
If the answer is a list of rankings and nothing about the work, you are paying for a report.
When a quote is too low
SEO is hours. If the price cannot cover the hours, the hours are not being spent. What you get then is the same templated pages every client gets, or links bought in bulk, which is the kind of thing that works until it does not. Cheap is fine when the scope is small and stated. Cheap with a big promise is the warning.
Is it worth hiring an SEO agency?
It is worth it when one new customer from search pays for months of the work, and when the work is more than you can do yourself. A roofer who closes one extra job a month from Google has covered the fee several times over. A business whose customers never search for it has not.
Before you sign, ask three things: who does the work, what happens in month one, and what gets reported. With me the answer to the first is short. I do it.
