RestockTime is my own product: 60+ monitors watching retail sites around the clock, pushing 1,000+ alerts a day to a paying community. It has run for 7+ years at 99.9% uptime. That is not a case study I borrowed, it is infrastructure I operate.

Is web scraping legal?

Collecting publicly available data is broadly established practice, and I build with respectful rate limits and compliance in mind. I review every project before taking it: what data, from where, for what use. If a project does not pass that review, I say no.

What websites can you scrape or monitor?

If the data is publicly visible on a website, it can usually be collected or watched for changes. Each project is scoped around outcomes: what data you need, how fresh it has to be, and where it should land. I do not publish target lists or discuss specific implementations.

How is the scraped data delivered?

Wherever your team already works: Discord, SMS, email, or a webhook for alerts, and spreadsheets, a database, or a clean API for datasets. Delivery format is part of scoping, not an afterthought.

What is the difference between a scraper, a crawler, and a monitor?

A scraper extracts structured data from pages. A crawler walks many pages to build a dataset. A monitor watches a target on a schedule, diffs it against the last known state, and alerts you the moment something changes. Most real projects combine two of the three.

How much does a custom scraper or monitor cost?
